ob Steven brings over two decades of experience to Crawford Smith & Swallow, where he has built a career grounded in technical excellence and trusted client relationships. A proud graduate of Brock University, He earned both his Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Accountancy (Taxation) degrees before joining the firm in 1999. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2004, followed by his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2012, and holds a U.S. CPA certificate from the state of Delaware.
ob has also completed the CICA’s In-depth Tax Program, equipping him with advanced knowledge in Canadian taxation and cross-border tax strategies. Based in the Port Colborne office, him and his team provides a wide range of services including advisory, assurance, cross-border tax, and small business consulting. He has particular expertise in business succession and estate planning, helping clients navigate complex transitions with clarity and confidence.
Biography
A lifelong resident in the Niagara area, Rob has enjoyed serving as a member on numerous boards over the years, including United Way of South Niagara, Port Colborne-Wainfleet Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Port Colborne Centennial. He values the close-knit culture at Crawford Smith & Swallow, where strong relationships with both clients and colleagues have been a cornerstone of his professional journey. He enjoys spending his free time camping with his wife and daughter and practicing martial arts.
